Fine Art
I have been drawing ever since I first developed the fine motor skills to hold a pencil in my dominant baby hand. In fact, drawing precedes my earliest childhood memories. Like many young artists, I was inspired by anime / manga, comic books, and fanart, which is evident in my stylized portraiture. These self-portraits feature graphic colors, fashion accessories, and spiritual symbolism—or self-sanctification as a form of reclamation. Additionally, my observational studies and plein air paintings mirror my practice of photo walks by capturing impermanent, vivacious scenes of daily life.
